In a world overwhelmed by fast fashion, I believe in slowing down, and reducing textile waste, so I decided my own project was to create made to order leather handbags.

I use two different types of materials, I source leather jackets and pants from op shops around Tāmaki Makaurau, and I also collect upholstry leather offcuts from a local furniture business.

You have the freedom to choose your bag’s style, leather colour, hardware, strap length, ensuring it’s a reflection of your personal style. Made to order means no unnecessary waste. Just pieces designed with purpose.

Each bag is made by me (Kate) in my home based studio in Tāmaki Makaurau.
